Lakeside Wellness has brought to Richmond a concept like none other; we combined the freedom wellness practitioners need to succeed with our clients’ need for a cohesive and well-run establishment.

Lakeside Wellness is a holistic cooperative located right in the heart of the well-known and historic Lakeside Avenue in Henrico, Virginia. We are minutes from the Richmond City line, Bryan Parkway, and Staples Mill Road. Our safe and secure building has plenty of parking and is walking distance to several restaurants, Final Gravity Brewing Co., RVA Antiques (and a ton of other boutique consignment shops!), K Baucom Salon and is directly across the street from Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens!

The Lakeside Wellness business model was created with the goal of providing a warm, welcoming and safe co-working space. This is a place where wellness practitioners are able to prosper in the careers that they love with full independence – but with a team-like feel. Gone are the pricy commissions with no benefits or taxes paid and unethical practices of hiring independent contractors then treating them like employees. At Lakeside Wellness, YOU are in charge of your daily operations and YOU keep 100% of what you make.

 

How did we do it? Easy.

We created a “walk in and work environment”.

Our entire establishment is “walk in and work”. From bolsters and mats and straps for yoga classes, to chairs and tables for wellness seminars and workshops, to the fully furnished practitioner rooms – Lakeside Wellness is all ready for you to start today!

 

We didn’t miss a single detail.

Lakeside Wellness owner and founder, Alyson Schlobohm (that’s me!), has been practicing Massage Therapy since 2010. I worked diligently to make our entire space perfect for any and all wellness practitioners. I equipped all of our spaces with white noise machines to block out traffic and hallway noises, I installed Pandora-powered wireless speakers, I developed “ready-to-enter-lights” (a unique system that allows our clients to let us know we can reenter the room before and after they have disrobed), every practitioner table is equipped with table warmers and beautiful table skirts, I hung muslin from the ceiling to cover the drop ceilings, I furnished each practitioner room with large, comfortable consultation tables, and truly tried to cover ALL of my bases! (I’ve been told I did a pretty good job 😉 )

Lakeside Wellness is warm, inviting, comfortable and professional, all at the same time.

 

We included ALL of your overhead.

As a Lakeside Wellness team member (option #1), ALL of your overhead is included! Lakeside Wellness team members receive yourname@lakesidewellness.net email accounts, use of our online scheduler, business card templates (cards not included), your own personal page on lakesidewellness.net, linens and a linen service, water & coolers, complimentary items for our clients, and more! (Options #2 and #3 do not include the above marketing pieces, but do include everything else!)

 

We created three flexible rental options:

1. Join as a Lakeside Wellness team member for a reduced rental rate, your own personal page on the Lakeside Wellness website, access to our social media accounts, an @lakesidewellness.net email address and client leads right out of the gate!

2. Simply come in and rent our beautiful, well-equipped space! Do you have an already-established business with a website, branding and name of your own? Are you resistant to giving up that business name and identity? Keep it – and simply rent the space!

3. Rent our classroom or practitioner rooms on an as-needed basis!

 

Rental Details & Rates

1. Lakeside Wellness rents are monthly rates. The prices listed for Options #1 and #2 grant you usage of the space each designated shift within that month. Rents are not based on the number of specific days or weeks within the upcoming month.

Using Practitioner Room Option #1 at the rate of $75 for Monday first half, your monthly rent would be $75 and you would have usage of that space every Monday first half. If you added a second shift, say Tuesday first half, your monthly rent would be $75 x 2, for a total of $150 per month, and so forth, and so on.

In other words, if there are 4 Mondays in a month, you would only be paying $18.75 per half day for a total of $75 for your monthly rent! 

 

2. We operate on a sliding scale rent; there is a price break when we are at 50% capacity and another price break at 71% capacity. The lowest of the rents listed is 71% capacity, the highest is anything below 50% capacity.

 

3. There is a minimum of $100 required for these options, but you may choose to rent one half day or hour and pay the extra until a second is needed.

Lakeside Wellness does NOT assume responsibility for growing your respective business. Our practitioners must possess a can-do and go-get-em attitude! Potential renters should possess strong self-discipline and the willingness to research, learn and implement new marketing and administrative tasks.

A Long-Term Vision

While we do not require practitioners to start with a minimum number of shifts, we are NOT a "start up then dash" establishment. We are looking for team-members who want to stick around and continue to grow together and require yearly leases to ensure we don't churn-and-burn through practitioners.
